AGA acted as a service provider for BH Airport (administrative concessionaire of Belo Horizonte International Airport), working in partnership in the development of designs, technical solutions and executive project. The project is authored by Bacco Arquitetura, project management by BH Airport concessionaire, and execution by Racional Engenharia.
The new project for Belo Horizonte International Airport contemplates the construction of Terminal 2 and the modernization of Terminal 1. Terminal 2, completed in December 2016, will increase the airport’s operating capacity to 22 million passengers per year. The construction estimated cost is 230 million dolars.
The new terminal will have 17 new boarding bridges, increasing the total to 26. For greater comfort on people flow, will be installed 6 conveyors, 9 escalators and 18 elevators. The total constructed area of Terminal 2 will be 49,000 m².
The works at Terminal 1 are also of significant impact, promoting important improvements in boarding rooms, shops, restaurants, toilets, security, passenger flows, among others.
