REIMAGINING THE WATERFRONT

The creation of a new and varied path along the banks of East River gives new life to Manhattan. A new experience that consists of three stages:

First, a dual approach, involving tree planting and linear bycicle path; and a segmented and varied path for pedestrians, which can rest on benches of wooden decks or fish in places near the water, or take an exciting tour by waterbus.

Second, the Glass Platform, a daring steel structure with a glass floor that allows an amazing view of the East River walking upon the waters. A commercial area with shops can heat the movement of people. And it all happening at a lower level, apart from Carl Schurz Park, which can continue working as a rest area, very used by the elderly, people with strollers or their dogs.

Third, creating a bay along the axis of 96th Street that includes an Exhibition Pavilion, Ice Skating Rink and Boat Rentals. The pedestrian connections are like bridges that put people closer the water, and also new connections with the central area of Manhattan are part of planning.

The combination of different environments, new pedestrian connections, new tourist attractions, perfect landscaping and lighting, make that this new experience at the banks of East River might be unique.
